No Sleep for the Wicked

The last three weeks have been an interesting bunch. I have been to Vegas, NV Lewiston, ME San Jose, CA Wilmington, NC Myrtle Beach, SC and Phoenix, AZ. I have spent twice as much time in hotels or sleeping on couches than I have in my own bed; though I've been able to see a good amount of my family in the time (i'll let you decide whether that's good or bad :-p). I've racked up 13,500 airline miles plus another ~600 in driving. I got a sunburn and a new pair of sunglasses, in that order. And despite not being here, it has probably been the best month since I lived in Baltimore. Go figure.

I've been a little less regimented on my GMAT studying and going to the gym, but I created a basketball team that plays every wednesday and I think I'm close to convincing my boss to promote me. There are a lot of trade-offs in this life. Living for today or living for tomorrow? I think the true challenge is finding the balance.

I got a Wii after playing it at Dad's house. I'm too poor to get any games really but it was free with my credit card rewards points so that's exciting. I'm pretty happy to be getting Brad as a roommate, because my friends now are really boring. People seem to give up more and more of their hobbies as they get older. That's why this post is a personal one to remind myself of what I like to do so that I never give that up for any age or any woman. Here goes:

-Racquetball
-Basketball
-Whitewater rafting
-tubing
-camping
-jet skis
-frisbee golf
-watching football
-beer
-poker
-UNC sports
-video games
-activities
-family
-friends/socializing

I hope that one day I can be everything I am today and continue to do all of these things. I also hope that everyone I know does themselves a favor and hangs on to those things that we enjoy, hangs on to our sanity. Because you can't be who you are if you don't stay true to what you love.
