I eat Burgers All Year 'Round

Sports
First off what the HELL UNC? You come off my prediction by starting the 2009 championship run with a home loss? great.

Other than that, the Ravens did me a solid by winning their first playoff game. I'm going on the record saying that I think Baltimore will beat Tennessee and Pittsburgh on route to a SuperBowl matchup against Carolina Panthers (who will have to beat Arizona and New York Giants).

Life
Going snowboarding in two weeks. I think I'm going to buy a snowboard off of craigslist for 100 bucks or so. Seems like a good investment considering rentals usually go ~40 bucks a day including the insurance and i'll be there for 3 days. Plus i should get repeat use, I've been told that there's a place to go snowboarding like an hour west of here.

Work
Still sucks. haha.

Reccomendation of the Week
Go build something with your hands. Assemble something, rearrange some furniture, hang a picture, frame a diploma. The sense of accomplishment you feel will really jumpstart your mood for the rest of the day.

Rant of the week
Whole Foods grocery store - what a waste of a trip I made over there...
overpriced? Always. Leave it to America to make PROCESSED foods cheaper than not.
missing staple items? Yep. Gotta love a grocery store that can only be SUPPLEMENTAL to your routine harris teeter/shoppers/safeway/food lion.
Crowded? You better believe it. They do more 'open-store' shelf-stocking than Wal-Mart. And don't get me started on the 'trendy' weird people they hire.

But the thing that really got my goat : the butcher acted offended when i asked him why they didn't have any premade burger patties (usually they have them with either jalapeno/cheddar or feta/onions/sun-dried tomatoes) -- apparently its only a summer thing.

What's really going on here? The entire premise of the store is not based on that which any normal business would base its merit on (i.e. Supply and Demand - I demanded some burgers) but rather the entire establishment is premised on an overriding concept that the people that shop there are better than 'commoners' eating their non-organic food products - and that snobbishness spills over onto an awful sales staff.

Sorry Whole Foods -- I eat burgers all year around.
